On November 17, 1911, Edgar Amos Love, along with Oscar J. Cooper, Ernest E. Just, and Frank Coleman, established the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The name Omega Psi Phi was derived from a Greek phrase meaning "Friendship is Essential to the Soul", and became the Fraternity's motto. Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift were adopted as Omega's Cardinal Principles.

WHY: We want to have at least 100 brothers walking in the parade

ATTIRE:  Khaki Pants or Khaki Color Cargo Shorts, Chapter Shirts (Purple Polo's or T-Shirts), and Comfortable Shoes

Again, in our efforts to get maximum participation and to celebrate our historic Centennial year, we would also like to extend an invitation to other chapters in the area.  Those chapters will be allowed to present their own banners and walk along with PLL. The parade is being televised so we ask that those from other chapters also wear Khaki Pants, Purple Polo's and Comfortable shoes as well.

We would like to also extend an invitation to other Omega Motorcycle Riders to come and ride with the "Omega Ryderz" in the parade.
